A crossbody that looks like it belongs in a boutique window.

But you get to sew it yourself. The Sequoia Satchel has just the right proportions for daily use, with four thoughtfully placed pockets and two front closure options so you can dial in the look you want. It's a stunner in waxed canvas, quiet luxury in Harris tweed, and a total showpiece in your favourite designer print.

Advanced beginner friendly and packed with satisfying details (rivets, snaps, adjustable straps), this is the kind of pattern that teaches you a new skill or two without overwhelming you. You'll finish it wearing it out the door.

✨ Here's why you'll love it:

  • Four pockets that keep essentials organized without adding bulk
  • Two front closure options: an adjustable front strap OR a heavy-duty snap
  • Compact crossbody proportions that work for everyday wear and travel
  • Made from rectangles with just one paper template (for the flap), so setup is quick
  • Beautiful in waxed canvas, tweed, or a statement designer print
  • Great next project if you're stepping up from beginner totes

    Good to know:

    • Skill level: Advanced BeginnerĀ
    • Finished dimensions: 8" wide x 3" deep x 9" tallĀ

    A note about this pattern:

This is a measure-and-cut pattern, which means most pieces are cut straight from the fabric using a rotary cutter and gridded ruler. There are no templates to print or tape together, aside from the included paper template for the flap.

What's included in the paper pattern:

    • Full-colour 5.5" x 8.5" instruction booklet
    • Inserts for pattern piece labels and the flap template
    • Imperial measurements (inches)
    • Paper template for the flap (all other pieces are measure-and-cut)
